10 String Electric Guitar in Trans Red

For all BC Rich enthusiasts out there we have a gem for you. A Brand new Trans Red Bich 10 supreme with
 5AAAAA quilt maple top RECENTLY COMPLETED IN DECEMBER OF 2011. It has Duncan Hummers and
 all of the standard supreme features (see specs below). As you know, this is a very rare piece that only becomes
available once in a while so if you've been waiting for one to surface, now is your chance to add a relic to your
 collection. Or if you are new to BC Rich guitars you will find that this unique guitar will only increase in value
over time and was made popular by Joe Perry of Aerosmith who played it as a 6 string. Yes, you can
 always remove the extra four strings, but in my opinion that defeats the purpose as you will be amazed at the tonal qualities
 of the electronics and the sweet balance of a 10 string without all the low end of a typical 12 string guitar. If
you are looking to go into overdrive just kick it up with the Wolf Rose preamp which has not one but 2
10 DB boosters which are encapsulated in 2 magnum shells and will supply
all the output you will need for any tube amp.

Played like a regular 6-string guitar, the basic principal of the 10-string guitar is much like a 12-string.
The highest two strings are tuned in unison, the middle two strings are tuned in octaves and the lowest two
strings are single and do not have the upper octave strings. By leaving the low two strings single, it allows the
player to get a normal distortion tone without confusing and cancelling the signal. When playing full chords it
creates a serious wall of sound. The doubled strings are also handy for thickening cleaner passages much
like a 12-string. Leave it to B.C. Rich to creatively run the additional 4 strings in the opposite direction starting
 in the headstock and terminating with the four extra tuners conveniently and strategically mounted in
the Bich’s unique cutaway body shape. This feature makes it immediately
 evident which tuners are used for the double strings.
